Apprenticeship Levy

The new Apprenticeship Levy takes effect from 6 April 2017. Although the levy affects employers in all sectors, it will only be paid on annual pay bills in excess of £3 million – this means that, according to government estimates, less than 2% of UK employers will pay it. “As for me, the prizes are nothing. My prize is my work.” Katharine Hepburn

Although we LOVE our work here at MJH Accountants, we also enjoy receiving and giving prizes! On the 24th March we attended the Lancashire Business Expo at the Guild Hall. The event was, as usual, a huge success not only in the number of businesses exhibiting and with the delegates attending, but also with the great competitions on offer! Our team certainly went round every stand. Sophie and Rosie both won a bottle of Moet, Rosie won a meal for 2 at Bartle Hall and a selection of “wishky”, James won a team building day for 12 people at the Anderton Centre! We had our own competition too with the chance to win a full hospitality package, 2 seats each for 4 lucky winners, at our table at the PNE home match against Norwich City on the Easter Bank Holiday Monday. Congratulations to Ben Ward, Richelle Motherwell, Kerry Whittaker and Lizzy Miller for winning these!
