“All that glitters is not gold!” Wow, what a fabulous venue the Tower Ballroom is! Decked out in gold, with a very Art Deco feel, everyone dressed elegantly and with a buzz of anticipation, the ballroom had a luxury feel about it. Were we about to breathe in the sweet taste of success? Alas no – not this year, but there’s always next! We are not easily put off and remain very proud to be finalists in the Professional Services category for 2015. Onwards and upwards!

Are you saving the date? This year our Christmas party is being held at St Anthony’s Club, Cadley Causeway in Fulwood – a stone’s throw from our office – on Wednesday 16^th December from 4-9pm. Please let us know by 31^st October if you will be able to join us. Not had an invite – then let us know and we’ll have one to you without delay. The more the merrier!

Being at the heart of the local community, MJH Accountants is proud to be able to support local good causes. We will be working alongside Joseph and his family in their aim to raise awareness about and fund research in to Non-ketotic hyperglycinemia (NKH) at our Christmas party. The children who use the services of Derian House will be designing our Christmas card this year. We are thrilled to have an opportunity to support their fantastic work. Did you know that for every £1 donated to Derian House, 89p goes directly towards care and that Derian House needs to raise £3.5m each year? From 16^th November anyone who wishes to donate a gift for a local child in need can drop their gift off at our office from 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 1pm on Saturdays. We are delighted to be able to support Rock FM in their Mission Christmas Cash for Kids appeal 2015. Please join us – make a difference this Christmas by dropping into our office!

Everything at MJH Accountants is looking Rosie! Rosie Burton joined our Team as a trainee accountant on 25^th September. Rosie is settling in really well and has already been active on the networking scene. As our client-base continues to grow, it is essential that we strengthen our Team so that our high standard of customer service is maintained and developed. We are confident that Rosie will be instrumental in helping us to achieve this goal and welcome her to Team MJH.

Michael Wilkinson has joined us today for a weeks’ work experience. We hope that Michael will enjoy his time with us and learn some new skills into the bargain!
